Why Shouldnt I trade cross-border on Craigslist?
I am located in Los Angeles, and I posted an Ad for trading my 360 for a PS3... some guy from Canada messaged me , but I read the craigslist "how to avoid fraud" thing and it said DONT DEAL CROSS-BORDER... why is this?? Is there anything at all I can do if I send the 360 but he doesnt send the PS3, or am i basically screwed?

- You shouldn't deal with anyone who isn't local because of fraud. Two scenarios: you send him the 360, he never sends the PS3. He sends the PS3, you don't send him the 360. Neither of you will feel comfortable with this. That's why craigslist allows connections at local levels, because it's the best way to bypass fraud.
- Craigslist is giving you a warning that they are not liable if something like that happens. I would give it more time and try to trade with someone locally. You can do the exchange at a coffee shop etc so you are both sure to get your product. I would not send your 360 in the mail. You may be dealing with a great person, but it is not worth the risk of dealing with a con artist. My advice, don't do the deal, keep posting and wait for something local.
- They are letting you know there is a risk. I have been scammed by shipping stuff to Canada before. The reason is there is no way to get a signature secured mail there. My advice is to stick with USA costumers only... that is what I do.
