Is there any way to stop those stupid in home dog breeders?? ?

How do u report them and stop them? I don't mind doing it and volunteering but I don't know the process. I see them all the time in craigslist, recycler, eBay classifieds! It's sooo sad. They end up at shelters and then get killed. Is there anything I can do??

1. No. Not until there's a law against it. They tried it in California and it was shot down.

4. Puppy mills and BYBs at once? Ambitious and noble, but there's not much you can do other than to educate people about irresponsible breeding in every form. Good for you
5. Make an effort to educate them how many animals are killed at shelters because they can't find homes. See if you can get them to help with killing dozens of sweet, cute, scared critters that they contributed to making.
6. all you can do is educate as many people as you know about BYB. Give them the best advise, either rescue or buy from a registered breeder that health tests their dogs and does all the right things.
7. The problem with "passing a law" is that it gets enforced on the easy people to find -- show breeders. The people you actually want breeding. The BYB don't care about regulations, laws,etc. They will just keep going. Laws stop the responsible breeders not the irresponsible ones. The best way to stop them is to take away their "market" -- educate the public to not buy off the internet sites or a sign on the back of a pickup truck. Actually though, few of the purebreds sold from BYB end up in shelters. Go take a look, nearly all mixes.
8. Where else would people breed dogs? In factories? There is a huge difference between the types of people that advertise on ebay classifieds, craigslist, etc and responsible, ethical breeders. Please don't lump them all together.
