What are your views on affordable housing?

I live in Chicago, and have noticed the lack of affordable housing. I was just wondering if anyone actually cares strongly about this issue? What do YOU think is the biggest problem?

2. All housing is "affordable". Some people can just afford better housing than others because they are willing to WORK and make the proper choices to afford what they want. I think the biggest problem is people who demand more than they can afford and then expect someone else to pay for it Flower, where does the federal government get the authority to build ANY kind of "public housing"? I dare you to provide the Article, Section and Clause from the Constitution of the United States, if one exists. After seeing what the current residents of "publis housing" have done to their taxpayer provided homes, Why should any more be built?
3. There have not been enough federal public housing units built in the last 20 years.
