Where to find Great Danes in/near Houston?

I already have an adult female dog and would like to adopt a male Great Dane puppy. I prefer a mix, not a purebred, so he'd be healthier. I check petfinder.com a lot as well as Craigslist. The only Great Dane rescues near Houston don't seem to be active anymore. I don't want to get a puppy from a breeder. Any suggestions?
