is this a good start for a saltwater aquarium?

i saw it on craigslist.com http://houston.craigslist.org/for/511338144.html the person said it was of saltwater use and its about 10yrs old

4. It is a good start if they are asking a reasonable price, it is 10 yrs old after all. I wouldn't suggest using the undergravel filter though. They don't work well with sand and can cause a build up of bad bacteria under those conditions. Also if you are plaining on keeping any type of coral other than mushrooms you would need to upgrade the lighting
