What neighborhoods are directly adjacent to the UT-Austin campus?

I'm a Houstonian who'll be living off-campus for grad school at the UT-Austin School of Nursing, and I went on Craigslist the other day to look for housing, and I'm pretty confused on where all the neighborhoods are. There's a lot of places in Round Rock, for instance, but I'm pretty sure that's far from the campus. Could you tell me which neighborhoods are touching the UTA campus? Maybe that way I can make more sense of the Craigslist housing ads

  1. The neighborhoods directly adjacent to the campus are pretty well established, white, and affluent. Your best bet is to look in East Austin (across I-35 but still adjacent to campus). Hyde Park is directly north of campus. Again, very affluent, very pricey to buy. You might be able to get a rental deal if you're a graduate student, as resale prices in Austin for Hyde Park have doubled in the past ten years (investors who bought ten years ago will be able to charge about half the market value for rent). Directly north of Hyde Park are Crestview, Brentwood, and Highland. Highland sits between gentrified Crestview and I-35 (East of I-35 in my area is considered ghetto). These neighborhoods are easily accessible to the campus by car, bike, bus, or even train. (I own and live in Highland). To the west and south of Campus are downtown neighborhoods with downtown lifestyles and downtown prices. Pflugerville is about twenty minutes away and Round Rock is about thirty minutes away by car in good traffic. These areas are EXTREMELY suburban. If you go way South, there's SoCo - the trendiest neighborhood in Austin. If you wear a fedora and skinny jeans unironically, and think it's okay to evict pet chickens or pass noise ordinances to shut down all the music clubs, by all means this is the place for you. Oak Hill lies to the south and west. This is an "up and coming" neighborhood, as recent highway improvements have made this area accessible to downtown by car but not by bicycle. Further south, but still within city limits and bus routes, are Circle C, Westgate, Brodie Oaks, etc. etc. If you see "Manchaca" you are kinda pushing it.
