What do you think the housing market will do within the next 5 years?
Do you think the housing market will go way up again like it did in 2006? I think it bottomed out in Nov.2010 and is on it's way up again.

- No, not up that high. It depends a lot on the country leadership. If we continue with the Socialist we have now who is determined to destroy the country, and apparently succeeding at it, the market will stay low or lower. It is hard to recover when people are not working, and the new raise in taxes is going to put a lot more companies out of business. If we elect a human being, one that cares about the country, things will get better. The simple fact that a decent person is in the White House would boost confidence enough for some recovery. It will take us many many years to recover from Obama, he is doing so much damage that you can't expect things to go back to normal again,.
- IMO, the housing market will continue to decline slowly for the next 5 years prior to rebounding. Meanwhile, people with houses worth less than they paid can consider selling their own home without an agent to save the agent's fee. This linked article discusses the pros and cons by interviewing homeowners who were brave enough to sell their own homes. This linked article talks about selling your own home. It show both sides of the coin of selling your own home. The ups and downs. Selling your own home can save money for those in a home with mortgage that is underwater, as it eliminates the agent's fee. Still, it needs to be done right and some agents will offer to help facilitate the final sale for a flat fee. http://articles.philly.com/1992-11-05/news/26008117_1_fizzbo-agent-housing-market
