I sold some large items on Crags List~ what is the best way to ensure I'm not murdered when he picks them up?

I have done this TONS of times before, but now with all the CL murders/robberies I'm wary. He has to come to my house- there's no way to get around it this time. Thanks. *Craigs List*. I stopped using Crags list years ago~~~

1. i would make sure that i am well armed. one day i sold an item and i was really high and had an unexpected customer swing by and i could have gotten a better deal but i was too out of it and just wanted them to leave lol.
2. This is why it's nice to have 2 guns. One strapped to you and one you're cleaning when he comes over.
3. I don't know, I have never had a CL buyer come to my house. I have always met them in public! BE SAFE!!!!!! (Do you know any big, tough guys (or not so tough guys who look tough - who can come over and pretend to be your husband??? That might deter a freak! )
4. I tend to schedule pickups when my husband is home....
5. Do you have any large and intimidating man friends? Invite them all over for lunch and have them help you move the large objects out of your home before this buyer picks them up. This way, the stranger can't get an eye-full of your china cabinet and want to break in later. He'll also see that you're surrounded by a posse of very intimidating people... Now, if scenario one isn't practical... I'd be calling a trusted friend or neighbor and asking that they assist you during the sale. Don't meet this stranger alone, whatever you do. For all you know, he could show up with ten other guys.
6. Do you have a husband bf brother dad or someone that can be with you so it's not just you and your child. I always put my SO in charge if it's a guy coming over. Or at least I make sire I'm not by myself.
