Can a soft-voiced female be a deejay?

Just curious. I can change my pitch and do lots of silly things and be obnoxious too, but if my tone is fairly soft and high, would it be a bad idea to go into radio? I've heard some high pitches on radio before and it kinda annoys me, so maybe I'd be annoying too.... :-)

  5. thats kinda hard to judge without knowing exactly what your voice sounds like...but im sure if you work at it...you'll get to know what pitches are better to use on the radio...especially if you are able to mess around with your voice....if its something you really want to do I say go for it
  6. Yes.
  7. Def yeah. We had this guy Mrk Gillman or something on radio in S.A. he had a high pitched voice & he used that to set himself apart from everybidy else. He was extremely popular in his days. Not sure what happened to him though
  8. Sure! The days when the seductive and/or strong voiced females ruled the airwaves are long gone. Now, it's not just the quality of the voice, it's also the character that certain voice exhudes.
  9. you just said you can change your pitch, if this is what you want to do,id say go for it!! there are all kinds of voices on the radio, not all of them are perfect. follow what you want to do, and do it!
