Why are there so few posts on the New York City Craigslist?

I was just looking on the personals there - there's hardly any! There are more in Vermont than in New York City! Why is that?

1. that has been due to many scams with personals of stalkers, prostitution and lastly there was a young woman several years ago who met a man on line and her life was taken. Craigslist have been put on notice of illegal scams within their web page, so they are screening ads and anything that looks suspicious is taken off line.
