Is it legal for them to search my apartment?
We just got a notice that says they (Management & Staff) will be conducting a mandatory annual "Interior" Property inspection. Is this legal? Do we have the right to tell them no? We have lived here for 3 years and this is the first year they've done an 'annual' inspection.

- Check your lease. Just about every lease agreement gives the owner the right to conduct property inspections with a reasonable amount of advance notice.
- You just received notice of an inspection..if this is what they have to do, they need to do it..and you can contact them and ask questions and any concerns that you have
- You seem to be asking people here to tell you the terms of your lease. I don't know. I suggest reading it.
- They likely have the right to do it - as mentioned, most standard leases make that allowance for owners. It's likely just for health and safety issues like smoke detectors, changing furnace filters, or just checking the general condition. We do it on a regular basis (every 6 months or as requried by 3rd parties like owners, lenders, or gov't agencies). They aren't legally permitted to search your personal belongings (even if your lease provided for this, it would not be legally substantive). Ideally, you have nothing to hide, but you'll probably find they're inspecting a number of apartments and it's no big deal. Be home if you're concerned.
