Will a drug related misdemeanor affect employment at Walmart?

I am 17 years old and I have two misdemeanor charges under my belt; one for possession of paraphernalia, and another one for an MIP. In the past seven months I have completely turned my life around and sobered up. I applied for a job at Walmart and was offered the job, but of course they have to do a background check. Since I am drug-free, I know I passed my drug test. My question is will my past mistakes ruin my chances of getting the job at Walmart? The tricky thing about my situation is that the managers at Walmart have seen how persistent I have been about getting a job and have seen part of my character/ethic. However, they are not the ones who do the background check, but they send it off to someone higher up on the chain. So, basically the person doing the background check knows nothing about me other than what they can dig up, while it is completely out of the managers hands. So I am hoping/praying for the best!

1. It really depends on the employer. Some places will look past certian charges, while others are more strict. As long as you disclosed all the information up front then you should be ok.
2. If you passed the drug test, you should be ok, but don't give them a reason to dig further.
3. Depends, usually employers don't want people who have criminal records such as misdemeanors or felonies especially drug related crimes. Maybe since you're a minor they'll let it slide.
