How can I post on craigslist if I am not located in the city?

I recently tried to post a craigslist ad in Seattle under services: lessons page and was ghosted after first post. I do not have a Seattle telephone number and my IP address was not near Seattle either. Thanks!

1. You can get a phone number with any area code you want. Just go to Vonage and get one. And plenty of people post for national things on local Craigslists.
2. I live in a town in Colorado about 30 miles away from Denver, and what I do is I post an ad in Denver, then in the description I say the town I live in
3. It doesn't matter where you live. And now they have a stupid thing where you can't post unless you give them a phone number. To get a code number. And you need a NEW code number every single time you want to edit the ad. HORRIBLE! I am deaf and don't even have a phone. Therefore, Craigs discriminates against the handicapped. Try complaining to them; it might make a difference. My voice alone isn"t enough. email craig@craigslist.org Can you use phone of friend in the town you want to advertise in? That's what I finally did.
4. Idk if Craigslist Seattle is any different, shouldn't b...but anyway the last time I posted, for example I live 45 minutes away from baton rouge. So in the title and also in the post I put the the city/town where I'm from.
