- what about online?
- You are of course right that you can sell your CD's on eBay or Craigslist. I don't think Craigslist is your best bet, however, because you are more or less limited to the local Seattle area. Yes, someone from Topeka or New York *could* look on the Seattle Craigslist for your CD, but the chances of that happening are pretty small, I think. eBay might be better. It gives you the national audience that Craigslist does not. But a better option, I think, is to sell on Amazon. Amazon does a pretty big business in helping sellers of books and CD's get a market. One of their best features is that you are listed right next to their main page for the particular CD, so buyers have the option of ordering from you or ordering new from Amazon. You can also see what others are charging, so you get a good idea of how to price your CD. (Even being .01 below the competition ensures that your item will be listed above the others.) I have bought a number of used CD's through Amazon and it works really fine. I don't know what they charge, however, so of course that's a consideration. But they don't charge anything at all until the CD sells, so you aren't risking very much.
