I need Georgia low income housing assistance opinions please?

I'm 6 months pregnant with my first child, married, and I'm about to apply for low income housing in the state of Georgia. But, I'm a little worried about the rules and regulations that apply. Could anyone that has had low income housing in this state please tell me about their experience? Like what are the chances of being placed in a safe neighborhood? Do you have to have children in order to qualify? What exactly does 'RRVP' mean? And if I qualify how long will it take to be approved and be placed in a home?
