Can someone suggest or provide information on weekly/monthly condo/apartment rentals in Ecuador?

Going to Ecuador for 4 weeks in February, 2012. Plan to stay in the Salinas area. Would like to know how and where to source condo/apartment rentals without paying internet listing vacationer prices. Thanks

1. If you don't use a reputable vacation rental web site, you are simply asking for trouble. You will find individuals offering locations on Craigslist.com.
