How do I register my cat as a companion animal in Northern CA?

I want to register my cat as a companion animal, but I can't seem to find a conclusive way to do so. She is a therapy animal, relieving stress and depression. I can't go without her, but the apartment building I want to move into only accepts companion animals. I live in Northern CA, Butte County.

1. That is an excellent question and I am not sure how to answer it. I would suggest you google American Disability Act and see what you can find there. Then I would suggest you go to your local Department of Justice and learn the rules, requirements and the laws pertaining to companion animals. Good luck
