How do I market Private Swim lessons?
Any ideas on how further to market private swim Lessons in the Tacoma-Seattle area this Spring/Summer? I drive to people homes and apartments with pools and give private swim lessons. I also meet the clients at some community pools and give lessons there. So far I have done craigslist and I am in the middle of designing an internet site. What do you think of putting an add in the paper, etc, etc?

- The newspaper, Myspace, Yahoo! Answers, Youtube. And if willing to pay then Local News, Radio, or TV AD.
- I think you should put an add in the newspaper. I also think that you might want to ask the local school that your child (if you have one) goes to nd ask the to put up a notice in the hallway or send handouts to the teachers to give to the students. Last but not least, you could put up signs on telephone poles, or fences, etc., etc. Anyway, good luck with your buisness and i hope it works for you! Good Luck!
- The best way for you to advertise is to get your website ready and make sure it is full of information about swimming. You know the sort of thing - best swimming gear, common mistakes people make, good exercises to do and so on. Then perhaps create a newsletter that people can sign up to. You could also become an affiliate for some swimming gear supplier etc. After that drive traffic to your site using AdWords or Yahoo but restrict location to Tacoma-Seattle (at least until you are hiring your own swimming instructors anyway). For a cheaper option you could also advertise on appropriate local sites (fitness etc) using the AdWords content option. Don't be concerned about giving too much away in terms of information. People will benefit for free but they will tell everyone else they know and you will benefit from the best sort of viral marketing. Those that want the personal touch will then hire you. By the way, if you could get some testimonials from your current customers about how they improved - style, time etc it would be excellent. You could then print these testimonials (with their permission) on both your website and leaflets etc. I hope that helps.
