How much is a 1 or 2 bedroom in New York City?
I'm looking into moving to New York City and have been looking at apartments on craigslist.org. So far it looks like apartments are usually around $850-$1300 around Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Harlem. Is this a realistic price or should it be higher? Where else can I look for apartments, as in what cities, and websites? Also, just curious, Is Harlem part of Manhattan?

- That sound about right for the borroughs. It'll be more then that in Manhattan.
- Neighborhood makes a huge difference price. Check out FlyRig.com for more listings and use their market analysis tool ( http://www.flyrig.com/user/?navm=resources ) which breaks down apartment prices by borough, neighborhood, and apartment size. Their stats are based on latest market prices. ...and yes, Harlem is part of Manhattan (north of central park)
