bands in austin, texas?

I'm trying to find a band for a wedding in July - mainly 70s-90s pop and rock covers. I tried a few booking agents in town and the bands they have are all about 3000-4000. Anyone have any ideas for cheaper alternatives? How do I go about finding one? Craigslist? Any ideas on particular bands or ways to find bands?

2. Craigslist is a good idea or you could try MySpace.
3. Most of the decent bands in Austin are going to cost that much. You might get lucky on craigslist. You can even go to the chronicle website or austin360.com and look up bands. You might see one that looks appealing for your style of music, call them and find their price, then go see if they are any good. I had a good "no name" cover band play at mine, and it was $3000. That was 10 years ago.
