What equipment does a disc jockey use?

1. Mixing board,turn tables,amplifier ,headphones,microphone,and speakers.
2. it depends, cause now they can do it all from a computer, I have all digital software that lets me mix and crossfade songs and whatnot.
3. You use turntables or cd decks usually. These connect to the mixer, which connects to the equilizer and crossovers, which connect to the power amps, which connect to the speakers. The one I just wired up is using 2 turntables, 2 danon cd decks, and a computer. Each componant connects into the mixer, which allows you to control the volume and some eq settings for each componant. The mixer connects to our eq, which connects into the crossover. The crossover allows the complete signal from the mixer to be split up into high, mid, and low signals. These then go the the power amps, which plug directly into the speakers.
