Federal Grants For Small Business?
I'm looking to find government grants for housing/small business etc. We are wanting to start up a laundromat/dry cleaning business in a town about 2 hours from here, because they only have one laundromat there and it's a fairly good sized town, and I think it would be great business! Does anyone know what sites to look at, I know that I'll have to write a proposal and such, but I need to know what sites are legit and which ones are scams (like sending money from a bank account to get info, or never hearing back) There's so many ads in the newspaper and in American Classifieds, but I don't trust them. Has anyone ever tried for one and how did you go about do this? I'd be appreciative of any help. Thanks in advance! Also, where can you find info on repo homes and cars? Anyone know?

- Small Business Administration. Be advised that you will have to have a complete financial prospectus. They want to know how much you need and what your plans are down to each little detail. Every penny must be accounted for in your plans. Just Google for the other information.
- There are no grants for a for profit business unless you are opening a daycare. If you need money, you will need to apply for a loan. No lender will talk to you unless you provide them with a valid business plan. Go to http://www.sba.gov , http://www.score.org or http://www.bplan.com for sample business plans and instructions on how to write a business plan. Then, go to http://www.score.org/ and in the upper left hand corner, enter your zip code. On the next screen, you will get information on the nearest SCORE chapter. Call them and arrange for a free meeting with a SCORE counselor to review your business plan and discuss various loan options available to you. SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). SCORE has 389 chapters in locations throughout the United States and its territories, with 10,500 volunteers nationwide. Both working and retired executives and business owners donate time and expertise as business counselors.
